Role Purpose and Responsibilities

As an Inventory Clerk reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage inventory operations efficiently and support procurement activities, ensuring comprehensive follow-up in a fast-expanding environment. Key duties include:

• Inspecting received goods against packing lists, communicating discrepancies to the respective departments or procurement officers.
• Coordinating arrival and secure storage of new inventory.
• Managing internal stock requests to guarantee prompt distribution.
• Forecasting demand and usage to keep accurate stock records.
• Maintaining inventory above defined alert levels in partnership with procurement for timely replenishment.
• Organizing regular inventory audits and investigating any variances.
• Enhancing inventory management processes for efficiency.
• Monitoring order statuses with vendors to align deliveries with internal needs.
• Providing administrative assistance within procurement workflows, ensuring documentation completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborating with Finance to preserve the integrity of inventory databases.
• Performing additional procurement team tasks as required.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Possess 2-3 years of experience in inventory management, accounting, finance, or administration.
• Hold at least a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Administration, Business, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or Logistics.
• Understand basic procure-to-pay procedures.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, initiative, project ownership with appropriate escalation, intellectual curiosity, creativity in problem-solving, resilience, strong communication and coordination skills, adaptability to shifting priorities, and robust analytical capabilities. Competence with Excel or Google Sheets for tracking and reporting and familiarity with accounting principles are essential.
