Role Overview

We seek a creative, experienced Instructional Designer with expertise in interactive eLearning development, especially using Articulate Storyline 360, who thrives in dynamic environments and utilizes AI tools to enhance instructional design processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Design learner-focused eLearning content applying adult learning theories.
• Create interactive courses via Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise.
• Develop instructional storyboards, scripts, branching scenarios, simulations, assessments, and knowledge checks.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex material into captivating learning experiences.
• Leverage advanced AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot) to streamline storyboarding, scripting, assessment development, content creation, and instructional workflows.
• Publish SCORM-compliant courses on Learnophia's Learning Management System.
• Conduct thorough quality assurance and testing before course launch.
• Uphold Learnophia's instructional design and branding guidelines.
• Update existing courses to reflect regulatory, standards, and client changes.
• Assist with webinars, product demos, and client onboarding sessions as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to continuously enhance the course catalog and learner experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Education, Learning & Development, Communications, Multimedia Design, or related fields.
• Postgraduate degree or certifications in instructional design, eLearning, or learning technologies are advantageous.
• At least 3 years of professional instructional design experience.
• Expert proficiency in Articulate Storyline 360.
• Strong grasp of adult learning principles and instructional design methods.
• Experience creating SCORM-compliant eLearning content.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.

Technical and AI Skills

• Advanced skills with Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise 360.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
• Experience with Learning Management Systems and SCORM publishing and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with graphic design tools like Canva.
• Basic audio and video editing abilities.
• Routine use of AI platforms such as ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, or Claude for advanced prompting, storyboarding assistance, instructional design, scripting, assessment generation, research, and content summarization.
• Commitment to using AI responsibly to enhance productivity while maintaining instructional quality.

Communication and Leadership

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Confidence in engaging clients and stakeholders.
• Experience in facilitating webinars and virtual training sessions.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
• A proactive, idea-driven mindset capable of independent work and teamwork.

Industry Experience (Preferred)

• Background in developing learning content for sectors such as healthcare, privacy and data protection, information security, financial services, AML and compliance, legal, government, human resources, occupational health and safety, and nonprofits.

Performance Expectations Within 90 Days

• Delivery of high-quality, engaging Storyline courses.
• Effective integration of AI tools to optimize instructional design workflows.
• Acquisition of familiarity with Learnophia’s instructional and design standards.
• Successful support of webinars and client demonstrations.
• Consistent on-time project delivery while adhering to quality standards.

Compensation and Working Conditions

This is a full-time, remote position based in Nigeria, offering a monthly salary between ₦350,000 and ₦400,000, depending on experience. The Instructional Designer will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
