The Dock serves as the premier R&D and Global Innovation Center of Accenture, located in Dublin’s Grand Canal Dock. It functions as an incubator for cutting-edge AI and generative AI innovations, assembling a global team comprising business strategists, designers, engineers, data scientists, and entrepreneurs. The primary goal is to tackle challenging global problems and design transformative products and services that enable various industries to flourish amid rapid change.
We seek an Innovation Lead – Commercial (Manager Level) to join the Business, Product & Commercial Strategy team. This role focuses on the evolving phase of Enterprise AI, moving from pilot experiments to widespread execution. Success in this realm hinges not only on model quality but also on leadership acumen, governance frameworks, and organizational shifts. This position sits at the nexus of AI capability and enterprise application.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee innovation and commercial strategy projects throughout all stages, from initiation through incubation, handover, and launch, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Partner with senior client leaders and account teams to embed AI-centric approaches within large-scale transformation and outsourcing engagements, identifying AI’s influence on enterprise deal structures and economics.
- Develop and articulate commercially feasible AI strategies that propel enterprise modernization, uncover new growth avenues, and convert emerging technologies into pragmatic propositions emphasizing outcome-based pricing and licensing.
- Construct comprehensive business cases, commercial frameworks, and market entry strategies informed by empirical data, practical delivery insights, and realistic market evaluations.
- Collaborate actively with leading AI ecosystem partners to stay abreast of technological advancements and integrate these insights into client strategies and project direction.
- Mentor and empower team members to self-manage, make informed choices, and consistently deliver superior results by fostering a high-performance work environment and clearing obstacles.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with senior client stakeholders, commercial account leadership teams, and ecosystem partners, contributing substantially to sales processes, requests for proposals, and commercial negotiations.

- Presence and credibility with senior stakeholders; able to lead discussions, ask challenging questions, and manage high-profile, complex assignments.
- Proven delivery experience managing complex workstreams within matrixed organizations, adept at balancing priorities and aligning teams.
- Natural leadership qualities fostering clarity amid ambiguity, accountability for outcomes, and team development.
- Comfort operating without fully detailed briefs, constructing frameworks proactively.
- Strong ability to articulate and defend perspectives on AI’s disruptive impact on industries, blending commercial acumen, business strategy insight, and technological knowledge.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AI-driven transformations, including strategy formation, operating model design, or delivery contributions.
- Knowledge of ecosystem-centric business approaches, platform strategies, or value creation via partnerships.
- Advanced academic credentials such as an MBA or related advanced degree.
