Role Summary
The Innovation Consultant is instrumental in enhancing an organization's innovation capacity by designing and implementing custom innovation frameworks. This role involves leading ideation and design thinking sessions, steering the innovation lifecycle from concept initiation through to scaling, and leveraging market and customer insights to uncover opportunities. Additionally, the consultant trains and coaches teams to cultivate an enduring culture of innovation and measures the impact to ensure sustainable value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing innovation capabilities to identify strengths and improvement opportunities, promoting a continuous innovation mindset.
- Develop and execute tailored innovation programs that align with strategic goals and address specific organizational challenges.
- Lead creative workshops and design thinking sessions to generate impactful ideas for new products, services, and business models.
- Oversee the innovation process from ideation through prototyping, testing, and scaling to market introduction.
- Perform comprehensive market, customer, and competitor analyses to discover new avenues for growth and innovation.
- Create persuasive business cases and strategic plans for promising innovation initiatives that meet business and financial objectives.
- Provide training sessions and individualized coaching to instill innovation methodologies and best practices organization-wide.
- Define and monitor innovation performance metrics and KPIs, reporting results to stakeholders and refining strategies based on findings.
Qualifications and Experience
- Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or a related domain.
- Have between 2 and 6 years of experience in innovation management, implementation of emerging technologies, or management consulting roles.
- Demonstrate strong skills in conducting business and technological research related to products.
- Possess experience relevant to strategy, operations consulting, corporate strategy, or innovation roles within global organizations.
- Good understanding of platform technologies and the automation ecosystem.
- Exhibit excellent presentation and data visualization capabilities.
- Certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or TOGAF are advantageous.
