Overview
This entry-level Human Resources Specialist I role involves supporting the administration of HR programs under close supervision. The position requires minimal independent judgment and provides an opportunity to gain foundational human resources experience within a structured environment.
Key Responsibilities
The primary duties include contributing to human resources management tasks and assisting with program administration.
Candidate Profile
A suitable candidate will possess at least six months of full-time paid experience in areas such as human resources, customer service, clerical or administrative support, program or public administration, financial operations, auditing, or technical program assistance. Computer proficiency and detail orientation combined with a motivation to learn new skills are beneficial. The ideal candidate enjoys teamwork and supporting others.
Additional Information
- Retirees will receive a salary reduced by 2.5% from the listed rate.
- Position requires no travel beyond occasional day trips; overnight travel is not expected.
- No site visits or hazardous duty responsibilities.
- No pre-service training academy required.
- Outside candidates must pass pre-employment drug testing.
