Specializing in authentic South Indian filter coffee, the brand offers its products across multiple channels including café outlets, innovative vending machines, and packaged coffee powder for home brewing. Its two café models, Kaapi Stop Elite and Kaapi Stop Express, provide patrons with consistent high-quality experiences featuring coffee, tea, sandwiches, toasts, desserts, mojitos, and fresh bakes. With around ten locations and a commitment to premium quality systems, Kaapi Stop is actively growing within the Food & Beverages sector.
Role Overview
The Human Resources Manager position, based at Kaapi Stop’s headquarters in Salem, Tamil Nadu, is a full-time, onsite role responsible for managing comprehensive HR functions. Key duties include overseeing recruitment, onboarding, and workforce planning for both café branches and corporate operations. This role also demands developing and executing HR policies, facilitating performance evaluations, and promoting employee growth through training programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, and workforce management across multiple locations.
- Develop and enforce company HR policies and ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations.
- Conduct performance management processes and support employee development initiatives.
- Handle employee relations challenges, grievance management, and engagement programs to cultivate a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Maintain accurate HR records, coordinate payroll inputs with finance, and guarantee adherence to company standards.
- Support organizational growth and expansion strategies through HR planning and execution.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Comprehensive understanding of essential HR functions such as recruitment, performance management, and employee lifecycle management.
- Experience in managing employee relations, resolving conflicts, and implementing engagement efforts across distributed teams.
- Skilled in designing and applying HR policies and procedures aligned with regional labor laws and company regulations.
- Competent with HR documentation, HR Information Systems (HRIS), and maintaining precise employee records and payroll coordination.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching capabilities enabling effective collaboration with operations, finance, and leadership teams.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities tailored to dynamic, customer-focused environments.
- Mandatory prior work experience in the Food & Beverages, retail, or hospitality industries.
- Educational qualification includes a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline; professional HR certifications are advantageous.
