Human Resources Coordinator

Role Overview

We are seeking a part-time Human Resources Coordinator to support the daily HR functions for our distributed team at the Carbon Capture, Storage and Utilization Lab. This remote role involves handling key HR activities that maintain smooth operations and promote an inclusive and high-performing research environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage employee records and support both onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Assist in administering employee benefits by coordinating enrollments, changes, and responding to benefits-related questions.
• Help implement HR policies, ensuring adherence to employment regulations and maintaining proper documentation.
• Address routine HR inquiries and facilitate effective communication across the team.
• Support employee relations through coordinating meetings, tracking follow-ups, and aiding conflict resolution and engagement efforts.
• Contribute to improvements in HR workflows to enhance team inclusivity and productivity.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in HR operations with competencies in coordination and recordkeeping.
• Knowledge of benefits administration procedures and employee relations practices.
• Familiarity with HR policies and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities suited to a remote part-time role.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills capable of engaging diverse multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient in HR software tools such as HRIS, spreadsheets, and document management systems.
• Educational background in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related areas; HR certifications are advantageous.
• Interest in climate technology, sustainability, or research environments is desirable.
