HR Business Partner

About the Role

Chipotle Mexican Grill is looking for an HR Business Partner (HRBP) to collaborate closely with our restaurant support center (RSC) leaders in Columbus, OH. This position aims to develop and implement people strategies aligned with Chipotle's strategic priorities, fostering workplace environments reflective of our purpose and values. The HRBP will provide expert coaching, apply knowledge of HR principles and employment law, and offer practical solutions across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership teams within the restaurant support center to create and drive people strategies through talent insights, culture programs, analytics, and employee feedback.
• Offer coaching and guidance on hiring, onboarding, employee development, engagement, performance management, and talent retention.
• Serve as a change agent to support teams through organizational changes effectively.
• Lead critical HR initiatives such as succession planning, talent calibration, and compensation reviews, partnering with centers of excellence for continuous improvement.
• Timely identification and resolution of employee concerns by applying Chipotle policies, employment laws, and ER best practices, including conducting investigations and collaborating with legal teams when necessary.
• Promote a unified culture consistent with company values by working closely with client group leaders and HR colleagues.
• Coordinate with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Development, Compensation, Talent Management) to design new solutions tailored to business needs and cultural alignment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• 5 to 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, preferably supporting corporate functions.
• Professional HR certifications such as PHR and/or SHRM-CP are desirable.
• Strong familiarity with federal and state employment legislation.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, influencing, and conflict resolution skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize effectively and apply sound judgment in decision-making.
• Willingness to travel up to four times per year or as required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with Workday HR software at an intermediate level.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated salary range is $99,000 to $139,500 annually, supplemented by potential annual bonuses and equity awards based on performance. Employees receive a comprehensive rewards package, including medical, dental, vision coverage, 401(k) plans, paid time off, and more.
