Home Orientation Representative at Empire Homes

Overview

Empire Homes is looking for a Home Orientation Representative to manage and conduct pre-closing inspections of new homes. This position requires identifying and communicating any defects according to Tarion Construction Performance Guidelines and the Ontario Building Code. The role involves leading in-person Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) alongside homeowners and construction teams prior to submitting the Initial Warranty Form and monitoring resolution of any outstanding issues. The role supports communities in Breslau, Caledonia, and Brantford, Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

• Arrange inspection meetings with homeowners following the construction closing schedule.
• Compile reports including spreadsheets and internal aging reports.
• Communicate with homeowners and internal Empire teams via email.
• Create on-site documentation packages and print necessary files including site files and CCPs.
• Coordinate and ensure completion of PDI deficiencies.
• Conduct exterior site audits.
• Assist on-site administrative staff as needed.
• Perform follow-up orientations explaining home operations after closing.
• Travel between various sites and offices as business requires.

Candidate Profile

• College diploma or degree in a related discipline.
• 2 to 3 years of relevant experience, especially familiarity with Tarion CPG and the Ontario Building Code.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and the ability to learn different software tools.
• Experience or exposure in customer service is advantageous.
• Valid "G" class driver's license mandatory.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual salary range is approximately $50,000 to $65,000, with eligibility for participation in a short-term incentive program. Salary specifics depend on experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
