Role Overview

The Heating Maintenance Technician will oversee the supervision and optimal operation of heating plants. This role requires collaborating closely with the maintenance team to carry out installations and maintenance on biomass systems, striving continually for improved maintenance services and a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor heating plants to ensure systems perform efficiently.
• Conduct corrective, preventive, and emergency maintenance on heating systems.
• Use mechanical and plumbing expertise to diagnose and fix technical issues.
• Engage professionally with customers as part of a versatile team.
• Perform onsite installations, repairs, and troubleshooting tasks.
• Deliver complete documentation to clients.
• Perform site root cause analysis on system faults.
• Apply root cause techniques on major or repetitive issues.
• Investigate technical breakdowns and prepare detailed reports.
• Manage records and track movement of spare parts.

Requirements

• Minimum two years’ experience in facility maintenance.
• Experience maintaining boilers and heat pumps is beneficial.
• Ability to read and understand single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Capable of lifting and moving weights up to 35 kg.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with IT tools.
• Eligible to work full-time in Ireland with a valid driver's license.
• Familiarity with hand tools usage.
• Committed to continuous professional development equivalent to degree level.
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork capability.
• Experience with biomass boiler installation or maintenance is an advantage.
• Demonstrated expertise with maintenance management software and applications.
