About Scania and the Role
Scania East Adriatic Region (EAR) seeks a seasoned and driven Head of Procurement to spearhead the development and execution of procurement strategies, promote ongoing improvements, and provide robust support to the business by managing suppliers, costs, and stakeholders efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute the procurement strategy aligned with overall business goals.
- Oversee purchasing and sourcing operations ensuring adherence to effective procurement procedures and governance standards.
- Develop comprehensive procurement plans to support the organization.
- Manage and maintain relationships with key strategic suppliers while leading sourcing initiatives.
- Keep abreast of market developments, perform cost analysis and benchmarking, and uncover savings opportunities.
- Lead, inspire, and nurture the Procurement team’s growth and effectiveness.
- Set and monitor KPIs, business outcomes, and initiatives aimed at continuous improvement.
- Guarantee compliance with Scania’s policies, procedures, and core principles (Scania Way).
Candidate Profile
- Possesses a university degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Brings at least five years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or related fields.
- Demonstrates solid leadership and people management skills, ideally within B2B or industrial sectors.
- Exhibits excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical capabilities.
- Experienced in managing both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
- Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
- Exemplifies high integrity, is results-driven, and comfortable leading change.
- Prior experience in an international setting is a plus.
- Familiarity with the D365 system is advantageous.
