Key Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute strategies for government relations, stakeholder engagement, and public sector partnership development in alignment with organizational goals and regulatory obligations.
  • Establish and nurture effective relationships with government ministries, regulatory agencies, municipalities, public institutions, industry groups, and chambers of commerce.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments—including Legal, Regulatory, Public Policy, Communications, Business Development, Operations, HR, Sustainability, and Executive Leadership—to advance organizational priorities.
  • Keep abreast of legislative, regulatory, and policy changes that could impact business operations and strategic initiatives.
  • Evaluate new legislation, regulations, government programs, and policy proposals, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Manage coordination of regulatory filings, licensing, government approvals, permits, compliance paperwork, and official communications with relevant authorities.
  • Represent the organization in government meetings, public consultations, industry forums, conferences, working groups, and other stakeholder events.
  • Prepare briefing documents, policy analyses, position papers, executive presentations, consultation responses, and communications directed at government audiences.
  • Support strategic collaborations such as public-private partnerships, investment efforts, economic development projects, sustainability initiatives, and CSR activities.
  • Facilitate high-level executive interactions with government officials, diplomats, regulatory bodies, and public agencies.
  • Track and analyze KPIs including stakeholder engagement success, regulatory compliance, permit processing times, partnership achievements, policy impact, government project outcomes, and corporate reputation.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping, regulatory impact studies, policy analysis, benchmarking, risk assessments, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory frameworks, ethical lobbying standards, corporate governance, data privacy laws, and internal policies.
  • Oversee budgets related to government relations, manage stakeholder programs, external consultants, legal advisors, memberships, and strategic public affairs initiatives.
  • Champion digital transformation by leveraging AI-powered policy tracking, stakeholder analytics, regulatory intelligence, automated compliance, workflow automation, and business intelligence tools.
  • Utilize software platforms including Microsoft 365, Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, SAP, Oracle, CRM systems, stakeholder management tools, document management software, regulatory compliance applications, and analytics platforms to drive government relations efficiency.
  • Produce executive dashboards, government engagement reports, regulatory updates, policy evaluations, stakeholder reviews, compliance summaries, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of government relations specialists, public affairs professionals, and regulatory coordinators, promoting values of integrity, teamwork, accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Candidate Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Law, Business Administration, Public Policy, Communications, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • A Master’s degree (MPA, MBA, Law, or related field) is highly preferred.
  • Relevant professional certifications such as in Public Affairs, Government Relations, Regulatory Compliance, PMP, Corporate Governance, or equivalents are a plus.
  • At least five years’ experience in government relations, public affairs, regulatory or corporate affairs, public policy, or legal roles.
  • A minimum of two years managing government engagement, regulatory programs, public sector partnerships, stakeholder relations, or policy initiatives is desirable.
  • Solid understanding of government operations, regulatory landscapes, policy development, stakeholder engagement, legislative review, corporate governance, and compliance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, Tableau, SharePoint, SAP, Oracle, CRM platforms, regulatory software, document management tools, and analytics.

  • Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, diplomacy, stakeholder management, strategic thinking, analytical capabilities, project management, budgeting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to juggle multiple government relations projects, balancing regulations, organizational targets, stakeholder needs, budgets, deadlines, and business objectives effectively.
  • Capability to operate productively in a remote setting with distributed teams, government bodies, industry associations, executives, and global partners; occasional travel for meetings, consultations, conferences, and strategic engagements is required.

Benefits and Perks

  • Fully remote working setup with flexibility collaborating across international teams in government relations, legal, regulatory, and corporate affairs.
