Role Overview
The Global Sales Director at UAS International Trip Support spearheads the worldwide sales division, ensuring the effective implementation of the company's commercial objectives globally. This leadership position holds full accountability for driving global sales success, expanding revenue, retaining clients, managing the sales pipeline, and enhancing the efficiency of the sales team.
Collaborating closely with Regional Sales Managers, Business Development Managers, and various internal departments, the Director promotes uniform execution of business targets, strengthens client relationships, boosts sales performance, and fosters a culture of high achievement centered around responsibility, teamwork, and results.
This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on sales management, embracing coaching, forecasting, customer engagement, and operational oversight to guarantee lasting growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of UAS’s global commercial strategy and annual sales objectives.
- Be fully responsible for achieving international revenue targets, gross profits, client retention, and business expansion goals.
- Convert corporate goals into actionable regional sales strategies and measurable targets.
- Uncover growth opportunities in both current and new markets to boost market presence.
- Implement market penetration tactics to enhance UAS's global market share and competitive stance.
- Collaborate with Executive Management to back long-term growth plans and strategic focuses.
- Oversee global sales performance as the main point of accountability.
- Set, track, and refine sales KPIs across regions continually.
- Regularly conduct pipeline and forecast evaluations alongside regional sales heads.
- Maintain reliability and accuracy in sales forecasting and revenue predictions.
- Promote strict CRM usage, adherence to sales processes, and data-led decision-making throughout the sales teams.
- Identify and address potential sales underperformance with corrective measures.
- Create dashboards and reports to monitor progress versus goals.
- Coach, support, and mentor Regional Sales Managers and their teams worldwide.
- Build a performance-driven environment based on accountability, ownership, collaboration, and client focus.
- Facilitate succession planning and capability development within the sales department.
- Conduct regular reviews and coaching to amplify individual and collective output.
- Ensure uniform standards, sales methodologies, and best practices are applied globally.
- Manage and execute strategies for customer retention and strategic account growth.
- Maintain executive relationships with major customers, operators, flight departments, charter operators, and important aviation stakeholders.
- Engage personally in high-value commercial negotiations and complex client discussions.
- Maintain key global accounts to optimize customer lifetime value and build enduring partnerships.
- Collaborate with Customer Experience and Operations teams to enhance customer satisfaction and service standards.
- Identify emerging business prospects, new customer segments, and additional revenue channels within the UAS services.
- Support growth in Trip Support, Fuel Services, Charter Services, Aviation Solutions, and future business lines.
- Analyze market intelligence, customer habits, and competitor moves to spot opportunities and threats.
- Lead strategic initiatives boosting customer acquisition and commercial outcomes.
- Work intimately with Operations, Customer Experience, Marketing, Finance, and Product teams to meet commercial aims.
- Align sales promises with operational delivery capabilities.
- Collaborate with Marketing to craft focused campaigns, customer engagement, and lead generation strategies.
- Improve sales efficiency, conversion rates, customer acquisition costs, and revenue productivity continuously.
- Promote a culture dedicated to continuous improvement and operational excellence in the commercial entity.
- Represent UAS at global aviation conferences, industry events, customer gatherings, and strategic meetings.
- Raise UAS’s market reputation as a reliable international aviation partner.
- Maintain connections with industry groups, regulatory bodies, and key partnerships.
- Act as a prominent advocate of UAS’s brand and commercial vision.
Qualifications and Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Aviation Management, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
- Preferred MBA or postgraduate qualification relevant to the role.
- At least 10 years’ experience in commercial leadership roles, including leading regional or international sales teams.
- Background in Business Aviation, Aviation Services, Travel Services, Aviation Support, Logistics, or similar global service industries.
- Proven track record of achieving revenue increases, customer retention, and spearheading commercial transformation projects.
- Experience managing geographically distributed teams across multiple regions.
- Strong financial knowledge encompassing revenue management, profitability, forecasting, and commercial metrics.
- Proficient with CRM platforms, sales analytics tools, forecasting software, and sales performance management systems.
- Exemplary strategic leadership capable of designing and executing plans that drive sustainable growth and competitive advantage.
- Customer-centric approach to building trust and long-term value for clients and the organization.
- Skilled in coaching and nurturing high-performing sales teams to achieve excellence.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills to engage senior stakeholders and partners effectively.
