Role Overview
This position sits at the centre of a rapidly growing business with global expansion underway. As Global Fleet Specialist, you will be responsible for fleet operations across every market, ensuring vehicles are available when needed and never become a bottleneck for new hires, urgent requests, or growth in a particular region.
You will create the systems, relationships, and decision-making framework needed to keep fleet operations moving quickly while still maintaining a high standard of judgement and accuracy. The role suits someone who enjoys fast-moving operational work, can manage complexity across multiple regions, and remains meticulous under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
- Own fleet operations across all markets from start to finish, including vehicle choice, purchasing, delivery, relocation, and insurance.
- Keep vehicle supply moving at the pace of hiring and growth, making sure fleet is never the factor that delays a team member starting or a market scaling.
- Manage fleet vendors and platform partners across regions, including negotiation and ongoing performance oversight.
- Respond to urgent fleet problems in the field, such as breakdowns, accidents, or other time-sensitive incidents.
- Support employees with vehicle-related guidance, standards, expectations, usage questions, and escalation pathways.
- Work across people, finance, legal, and operations as a generalist partner to keep fleet-related work progressing smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
- Background in fleet management or another complex operational function spanning multiple markets.
- Ability to work quickly and adapt easily, even when requests arrive with very little notice.
- Strong attention to detail and a track record of maintaining quality under pressure.
- Trusted by vendors and internal stakeholders, with a relationship-first approach.
- Comfort with first-principles thinking rather than relying on standard templates or legacy methods.
- Solid negotiation skills and the ability to manage external partners effectively.
- Good judgement on when to act independently and when to escalate.
- Genuine energy for operational complexity across different regions.
Benefits
- Access to snacks and drinks in the office.
- Southern Cross Health Insurance coverage to support wellbeing.
- Six months of fully paid parental leave for primary caregivers and four weeks of fully paid leave for secondary caregivers, plus additional parental support.
- An annual self-development allowance of $1,000.
- Wellness leave together with unlimited paid annual leave.
- A competitive package made up of salary, benefits, and an employee stock ownership plan.
Office-First Working Style
Halter’s culture is built around in-person connection, with the office as the default place of work because it helps people learn faster, collaborate better, and build stronger relationships. The company is still flexible when required and operates on a high-trust basis, expecting people to do what is best for the business.
Diversity and Application Note
Halter encourages people from all backgrounds to apply. Candidates who feel they can succeed in the role, even if they do not meet every requirement listed, are invited to reach out.
Applicants are asked to submit a cover letter explaining their interest in the role and in Halter, along with a CV.
