General Laborer

About the Role

This position at Big Tex Trailer World involves maintaining and organizing the outdoor trailer and product display areas. The General Laborer will ensure the lot remains aesthetically pleasing, handle unloading and receiving freight, assemble trailers, and assist with maintenance and service tasks as required. Customer service support during sales and service operations is also a key component.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assemble trailers accurately following guidelines.
• Park and reposition trailers across the lot.
• Clean and prepare trailers for customer delivery.
• Assist customers with trailer hook-up and conduct visual safety inspections including checking lights, safety chains, decking, among other safety components.
• Perform lot maintenance tasks such as mowing grass, removing weeds, clearing snow, litter collection, and installing exterior advertising materials like signs, banners, or flags.
• Receive incoming shipments and stock trailers, parts, and other supplies efficiently.
• Provide support to service technicians when required.
• Assist in opening and closing the store as instructed.
• Keep the store and associated areas clean and organized.
• Carry out any other job-related duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Availability to work Monday through Saturday with flexible overtime hours as necessary.
