Fullstack Developer Intern

About the Role

Akdo is a fast-growing pre-seed startup focused on building an AI-powered platform for creating customized HSE/EHS training at scale, with reach across large enterprise customers worldwide. The team is composed of experienced founders, senior leaders from major tech companies, and early employees from leading YC-backed companies. If you enjoy GenAI, like writing code, and want meaningful ownership in a startup environment, this role is built for you.

Your Mission

The company already has a strong AI and data base. The next step is to turn that foundation into product experiences that customers genuinely enjoy using. Working closely with the CTO and the wider team, you will help connect AI capabilities with polished user-facing features and smooth product interactions.

Frontend and Product Experience

• Create new product features that bring AI functionality into the hands of users.
• Convert backend AI capabilities into clear, intuitive client-side experiences.
• Refine the user experience so the product feels fast, understandable, and pleasant to use.

Backend and Integrations

• Design backend structures and APIs that can support multiple enterprise customers.
• Integrate AI workflows into the product so end-to-end features run reliably.
• Write efficient, maintainable code that can scale with the business.

AI Features

• Build new agentic features using the existing AI infrastructure.
• Review AI output quality in real scenarios and collaborate with the team to improve weak points.
• Stay informed about current AI developments and bring useful ideas into the product.

Own Ideas and Initiative

The team values initiative. If you see a better way to solve a problem or have a feature idea that could improve the product, you are encouraged to bring it forward.

Tech Stack

• Frontend: Tailwind, React, Next.js, ShadCN
• Type safety: Prisma ORM and Next.js server functions used end-to-end
• Backend and infrastructure: PostgreSQL, GitHub, Vercel
• LLM tooling: Azure AI Suite, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex, Langfuse, and ai-sdk

Requirements

• Hands-on experience building full-stack web applications, ideally with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL; strong experience with another modern stack is also acceptable.
• Practical experience working with AI APIs and LLMs.
• Strong prompting ability and curiosity about the direction of AI technology.
• Ability to write clean, well-structured code with proper testing.
• Fluent English communication skills.
• Availability to work full time.

Remote Working

Recruitment Process
