About the Role

A friendly family in Indianapolis is looking for a dependable, caring, and engaging long-term nanny to look after their 1-year-old child. This position suits someone with toddler experience who enjoys providing attentive, nurturing care.

The work includes planning age-appropriate play and learning activities, helping the child get ready for the day, preparing meals and snacks, supporting nap time, and keeping the child’s spaces organized and tidy. The nanny will also need to drive the child to local parks, museums, libraries, activities, and occasional speech therapy appointments.

The candidate must have a dependable personal vehicle, and mileage reimbursement is provided. The mother works a hybrid schedule, mainly from home but sometimes at the hospital, so the family wants someone who can work independently, stay active, and feel comfortable caring for toddlers. The home includes three cats and a 13-year-old Chihuahua with epilepsy. The family hopes to find a nanny who will become a trusted part of their daily routine.

Schedule

Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 am to 5:00 pm. On the second Tuesday of each month, the schedule starts earlier at 7:15 am and ends at 5:00 pm.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with toddlers and understand the needs that come with this stage of development. A dependable, professional, and nurturing personality is important, along with comfort around cats and dogs. Applicants should have a reliable vehicle, current CPR/First Aid certification or a willingness to obtain it, and a clean background check.
