Role Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Frontend Web Developer skilled in HTML and CSS to join on a contractual basis. This remote position involves creating and maintaining responsive, cross-browser compatible user interfaces, closely collaborating with design teams to turn visual mockups into accurate, functional front-end elements.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and sustain front-end components using HTML, CSS, and related technologies
• Ensure designs are responsive and compatible across different browsers and devices
• Work with design teams to translate UI mockups into pixel-perfect implementations
• Enhance front-end performance and uphold accessibility standards
• Engage in code reviews and promote best coding practices

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in HTML and CSS with a solid grasp of semantic markup
• Experience applying responsive design principles and mobile-first approaches
• Familiarity with CSS preprocessors such as SASS or LESS, or with frameworks like Bootstrap or Tailwind
• Competent in using browser developer tools for debugging
• Ability to convert designs from tools like Figma, Sketch, or equivalents into code
