Job description

About the Role

We are seeking an HR professional with a few years of experience who aspires to evolve into a strategic, organization-wide people leadership role in the coming years. This position moves beyond a traditional operational HR Business Partner role; it requires setting policies, independently managing people processes, and ultimately influencing the overall HR strategy as the company expands.

This opportunity suits individuals who have independently managed HR for a plant, unit, or function rather than merely supporting one, and who are eager to progress toward a Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO)-level career.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR policies throughout the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, performance management, compensation frameworks, compliance, and offboarding.
  • Take full ownership of HR functions for a specific business unit, function, or location, covering workforce planning, employee relations, and engaging with senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Establish and expand HR systems and processes such as HRIS/HRMS implementation, competency models, and career path architectures as the organization scales.
  • Collaborate closely with founders and leadership to align people strategies with business objectives.
  • Lead initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and cultivating a strong organizational culture.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory compliance, manage audits, and oversee governance requirements.
  • Support or lead talent acquisition efforts for key roles, including campus recruitment and lateral hiring.

Candidate Profile

  • An MBA or PGDM in Human Resources from a reputed institute.
  • 2 to 4 years of HR experience with proven independent leadership—having managed HR functions for a plant, business unit, or standalone division, not just in a supporting capacity.
  • Robust understanding of core HR areas such as policy formulation, workforce planning, performance management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and building processes from the ground up.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Previous exposure to fast-growing startups or high-growth companies is advantageous but not mandatory.
