Role Overview
As a Food and Beverage Attendant, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining moments for our guests. Your warm personality, precision, and enthusiasm for excellent service will contribute to an inviting dining environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly welcome guests upon arrival with professionalism
- Accurately take and process food and beverage orders
- Promptly serve meals and drinks to tables
- Clear and reset tables while maintaining a clean dining space
- Address guest inquiries, requests, and complaints courteously
- Handle payments via POS systems, managing cash and card transactions
- Keep service stations replenished and orderly
- Adhere strictly to hygiene, safety, and food handling regulations
- Collaborate effectively with team members
- Set up and dismantle service areas as required
- Communicate dietary restrictions and guest concerns to kitchen staff
- Complete daily cleaning routines and closing checklists
This position requires flexibility, with a rotating 7-day roster including early starts from 6:00am and late finishes. The role is part-time with a minimum of 12 hours per week.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in food and beverage, barista, bar, or hotel service is preferred but not mandatory
- Possess a friendly and professional demeanor passionate about hospitality and outstanding guest service
- Comfortable with operating coffee machines or bar equipment; training will be provided
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
- Strong communication and time management capabilities
- Physically able to stand for prolonged periods and handle light trays or equipment
- Availability for a rotating 7-day roster with early morning or late evening shifts
- Knowledge of fundamental food safety and hygiene practices
- Must hold NZ citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa/permit; visa sponsorship unavailable
