Role overview
This position sits within a Financial Crime function supporting Chase UK, with a strong focus on sound judgment, customer protection, and disciplined controls. The role involves working through escalated cases, KYC checks, and FCOI reviews in a fast-moving setting where careful analysis and clear documentation are essential. It also offers room to grow through ongoing learning, case calibration, and participation in improvement work across people, process, and technology.
What you will do
- Review customers, assess case details, and record conclusions in line with both company standards and local regulatory expectations.
- Examine issues escalated by internal teams and combine information from several sources to form a complete view.
- Prepare concise recommendations and case summaries that clearly support the outcome reached.
- Handle relationship reviews for customers flagged because of financial crime concerns.
- Write escalation notes for senior stakeholders when a higher-level audience needs to review the case.
- Investigate matters using the established process and document decisions with clear reasoning.
- Raise important risks and issues to management quickly, along with practical context for action.
- Organize your own queue so cases move forward within SLAs while balancing competing priorities.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business and offer straightforward, constructive feedback when appropriate.
- Spot opportunities to improve workflows and contribute as a subject-matter resource on process and technology initiatives.
- Join knowledge-sharing and calibration sessions to help maintain consistent decisions and SLA performance.
What we are looking for
- Background in fraud, AML, KYC, FCOI, or financial crime operations and investigations.
- Strong ability to research, analyze, and think critically before reaching a supported decision.
- Confident written and verbal communication, including interaction with senior stakeholders.
- Capability to produce clear case notes, recommendations, and narratives with a high level of accuracy.
- Good time management and the ability to work under pressure while meeting deadlines and SLAs.
- Experience contributing to process improvements and supporting process or technology initiatives in an SME capacity.
- Judgment that supports independent, risk-based decision-making.
