Financial Controller

About the Role

The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial management, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, adherence to regulatory requirements, and implementing effective financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage accounts, budgets, and financial operations across various departments to fulfill company, government, and statutory reporting obligations.
• Lead the planning and formulation of annual and long-term capital and operating budgets aligned with business strategies to optimize financial resources.
• Collaborate with operational units on cost determination challenges, inventory valuation, labor rates, overhead allocation, and service pricing.
• Oversee fixed asset records, depreciation accounting, and ensure proper classification and capitalization of expenditures.
• Contribute to long-range financial forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability assessments, including exploring alternative scenarios for accurate predictions.
• Supervise the preparation and submission of annual financial statements for the Support Services Division following accounting standards.
• Implement and maintain data collection methods to ensure timely and accurate financial data updates across departments.
• Monitor financial performance against budgets, identify deviations, and take swift corrective measures to improve outcomes.
• Provide comprehensive financial reports and analyses to support decision-making within the Support Services Division.
• Manage accounting software deployment in accordance with approved procedures and prepare final accounts alongside deviation reports yearly.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 6 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and theory.
• Financial analysis and reporting expertise.
• Cost control and budgeting abilities.
