Role Overview

The Finance Manager position is a full-time remote opportunity accountable for comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities to foster Local's growth across the GCC region. Responsibilities include managing month-end closing, financial reporting, and cash flow analysis to deliver timely, precise insights to leadership and key stakeholders. This role ensures conformity with local financial regulations such as VAT reconciliation and filings, administers payroll via the Wages Protection System (WPS), and liaises with auditors, banks, and other external entities.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and analysis of variances across multiple markets
Handle monthly financial close processes, statements, and internal control systems
Manage VAT reconciliation and submission compliances
Administer payroll processing through the WPS mechanism
Lead cash flow monitoring, treasury functions, and evaluate financial risks
Develop and sustain management dashboards and performance reports
Provide financial modeling support for pricing and commercial decisions
Coordinate interactions with external auditors, financial institutions, and partners
Detect discrepancies promptly and conduct thorough root-cause assessments

Candidate Profile

Proven expertise in financial planning and analysis including budgeting, forecasting, and variance interpretation
Strong foundation in accounting, month-end closures, and preparing financial statements
Experience with VAT processes and payroll management employing WPS systems
Competent in managing cash flow, treasury operations, and assessing financial risks
Effective communication skills to clearly present complex financial data to non-financial team members
Understanding of corporate finance principles; fintech, payments, or tech sector experience is advantageous
Academic credentials in finance, accounting, economics or related disciplines; additional certifications such as CPA, CMA, ACCA, CA, or CFA are valued
Familiarity with GCC market operations, handling multi-entity structures, or regulated industries is a plus; experience in startups or high-growth firms is also beneficial
Self-motivated and capable of independently managing priorities in a fully remote work setup
