About the Role

The Finance & Accounting Advisory Manager at CFGI plays a pivotal role by collaborating directly with senior leaders of FTSE 100, mid-sized, and startup enterprises. This position involves leading project teams, managing client engagements, and coordinating with top-tier auditors such as those from Big 4 firms. You'll have opportunities to take professional ownership of your career's trajectory, engaging with diverse industries and leading projects end-to-end.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integrate with senior management of clients to address complex accounting challenges and assist in crafting proposed solutions.
  • Oversee and assess work produced by consultants related to operational due diligence during significant transactions like acquisitions, stock offerings, and IPOs.
  • Review and verify consultants' deliverables to ensure compliance with financial reporting and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct research and document initiatives involving new accounting standards, process enhancements, and implementation strategies.
  • Lead and mentor consulting teams, fostering professional growth and delivering innovative solutions.
  • Contribute to recruitment activities, nurture client relationships, and support business development efforts within the firm.

Candidate Profile

  • A bachelor's degree complemented by qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA, or MBA; substantial accounting experience may substitute for an accounting degree.
  • Between five to seven years of professional experience in public accounting, industry accounting, or finance roles.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills paired with strong written and verbal communication abilities, supporting effective integration into team environments.
  • Robust technical understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP standards.
  • A proactive approach to identifying client needs and building enduring partnerships.
  • Highly organized with capacity to define engagement goals and set strategic directions.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven, ethical, dependable, and committed to excellent client service.
  • Energetic with dedication to resolving conflicts positively and maintaining high-quality standards.
