Farm Supervisor

Overview

This position requires managing and overseeing various farm operations, including animal care, crop management, and workforce coordination at the physical farm location in Lyn, Ontario, Canada. Remote work is not an option.

Languages

English communication skills are necessary.

Education and Experience

• Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate/diploma program lasting between 3 months and less than 1 year, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience ranging from 1 year to less than 2 years in relevant agricultural roles.

Responsibilities

• Clearing and collecting brush and debris from fields, pens, and other operational areas.
• Developing prioritized work plans and directing farm feed inventory activities.
• Handling animals while monitoring and treating their health issues.
• Organizing tasks to efficiently achieve work objectives.
• Supporting and implementing farm safety and bio-security protocols.
• Coordinating and supervising the activities of general farm workers and harvesting laborers.
• Ensuring adherence to safety and bio-security measures.
• Formulating feeding programs and maintaining accurate livestock performance records.
• Maintaining quality control and production documentation.
• Supervising crop growing and related processes.
• Hiring and training new farm staff.
• Undertaking general farm duties as required.
