Role Overview

The Facilities Specialist operates full-time on-site in Harare, Zimbabwe, overseeing daily management of facility operations across multiple retail and commercial locations. Responsibilities include scheduling cleaning and landscaping activities, managing resource allocation, ensuring service standards compliance, and addressing facility-related concerns promptly. The role also entails vendor coordination, facility record maintenance, budget assistance, and working collaboratively with internal teams to enhance efficiency and client satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in facilities management covering cleaning, landscaping, and building upkeep.
• Capability to train and mentor site teams, encouraging continual service improvement.
• Proficient administrative skills for scheduling, vendor coordination, and record maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of construction principles related to repairs, renovations, and safety compliance.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications to support reporting and communication tasks.
• Strong organizational skills, problem-solving orientation, and an eye for detail to ensure service quality.
• Effective verbal and written communication, with ability to collaborate across teams and client bases.
• Relevant certifications or educational qualifications in Facilities Management, Property Management, Construction, or analogous fields are advantageous.
• Previous commercial or retail facility management experience is highly preferred.
