A professional football family in Solihull is looking for a seasoned live-out nanny to care for their 6-month-old baby boy. This is a long-term opportunity for a career nanny who brings extensive experience, strong judgement, and a calm, nurturing style. The household values someone who is proactive, highly organised, and able to become a trusted part of family life.

The family may spend periods abroad over the next year while the footballer recovers and trains, so the nanny should be comfortable with international travel when needed. French language ability to a working level would be a strong advantage, and an exceptional French-speaking candidate may be offered a higher salary.

Key duties

• Provide attentive, high-quality daily care for an infant.
• Support early development through weaning, sleep routines, crawling, communication, sensory activities, and age-appropriate play.
• Plan engaging activities that encourage physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
• Maintain consistent routines that support the baby’s comfort, wellbeing, and development.
• Prepare healthy meals as the child progresses through weaning.
• Keep the nursery, play spaces, toys, clothing, and equipment clean, organised, and well maintained.
• Handle baby-related housekeeping tasks, including laundry.
• Join the family for outings and appointments when required.
• Travel with the family within the UK and overseas as needed.

Candidate profile

• At least 15 years of professional nanny experience is required.
• Strong background caring for babies from infancy into toddlerhood.
• Excellent understanding of infant development and early milestones.
• Enthusiastic about creating a nurturing environment that supports early learning.
• Confident driver with a full, clean driving licence.
• Able to provide strong, checkable references.
• Enhanced DBS and a current paediatric first aid certificate are needed, or the willingness to obtain/update them where appropriate.
• Must be warm, discreet, polished, and highly organised.
• Should be flexible enough to adapt to the changing schedule of a football family.
• Must be comfortable travelling internationally when required.

Package

• Annual salary range: £40,000 to £70,000, based on experience and qualifications.
• Higher pay may be available for an outstanding French-speaking candidate.
• Working pattern: 45 hours per week across 5 days.
• This is a long-term position with a respectful and welcoming family.
• International travel is part of the role.
