About the Role
Energy Systems Group (ESG) is looking to hire an Executive Recruiter to join its Human Resources team remotely. This position oversees end-to-end recruitment for senior Account Executive and select technical and operational positions. Acting as a strategic partner to leadership, the recruiter will foster trusted relationships with business leaders, enhance internal recruiting capabilities, and secure outstanding talent aligned with ESG's mission and growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full recruitment cycle for senior Account Executive roles and some technical and operational positions.
- Establish and nurture ongoing connections with Account Executives and industry contacts to maintain a consistent talent pipeline.
- Develop targeted search strategies linked to workforce planning and project needs, covering commercial, public sector, construction, engineering, and operations teams.
- Identify and recruit executive candidates through networking, direct outreach, professional associations, and market intelligence.
- Build comprehensive market insights, talent maps, and proactive candidate pools within ESG's critical sectors like business development, renewable energy, energy efficiency, microgrid solutions, project development, construction management, and engineering.
- Execute structured executive evaluations focusing on leadership, technical skills, and cultural alignment.
- Participate in industry conferences to network with potential candidates.
- Partner with senior leadership to clarify role requirements, success criteria, and hiring strategies.
- Advise on labor market trends pertinent to energy, infrastructure, sustainability, and specialized technical roles.
- Guide leadership on interview processes, assessment alignment, and best hiring practices.
- Support ESG’s shift from widespread agency use to centralized, HR-led talent acquisition, ensuring compliance with vendor and fee policies.
- Maintain oversight of hiring requirements, requisition planning, and recruitment metrics.
- Enforce compliance with the Unsolicited Resume Policy to reduce costs and legal risks.
- Deliver a high-quality, confidential, and responsive candidate experience that reflects ESG's employee-first culture.
- Represent ESG’s brand and mission in promoting infrastructure improvements, energy innovation, and resilience.
- Ensure all recruiting procedures adhere to company policies, documentation standards, and maintain stringent data accuracy and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related area; advanced degree or executive search certification is advantageous.
- Between 5 to 10+ years of executive or senior recruiting experience, especially in energy, engineering, infrastructure, sustainability, or construction sectors.
- Proven track record of developing pipelines for professional, technical, engineering, and project management roles within dynamic environments.
- Strong presence and ability to build relationships with executives at all levels.
- Expertise in candidate evaluation, competency-based interviewing, offer negotiation, and designing search strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with candidates and executives.
- Discretion in handling sensitive data and influencing high-stake hiring decisions.
- Experience assisting organizations in reducing reliance on external agencies aligns well with ESG's recruitment transformation goals.
