Executive Production - Refrigeration Assembly

Position Summary

The role of Executive Production CR is based at the Pantnagar factory within the UPBG manufacturing division of Voltas Limited, a TATA enterprise. This position is tasked with managing assembly line operations to ensure high productivity, quality, and compliance with delivery schedules and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete assembly process ensuring coordination between all sub-assembly stations such as coil mounting, cabinet fitting, electrical wiring, and compressor installation.
• Develop daily and weekly production plans to meet sales and dispatch objectives, optimizing line balance and throughput timing.
• Maintain quality standards through collaboration with quality teams, enforcing in-line inspections, final product audits, and managing corrective actions for defects or process irregularities.
• Lead, train, and supervise operators, supervisors, and technicians fostering safety, discipline, and continuous improvement culture on the shop floor.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure tools, jigs, fixtures, conveyors, torque tools, leak testers, and electrical test equipment are properly maintained and calibrated for uninterrupted production.
• Keep accurate logs on production figures, defect rates and generate shift-wise and monthly performance reports for senior management review.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Refrigeration.
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of relevant production experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with refrigeration assembly line operations.

Desired Skills and Attributes

• Understanding of product design, functional testing and line balancing principles.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts including Kaizen and 5S methodologies.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
• Proven ability to operate efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume manufacturing setting.
