Job description

Role Overview

We seek a seasoned Event Site Supervisor to lead our onsite installation teams from marquee setup to pack-down. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will serve as the main coordinator on location, organizing crew efforts, ensuring client satisfaction, and guaranteeing that every event installation is executed safely, punctually, and in accordance with specifications.

Core Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee installation and pack-down crews for events lasting from a single day to multiple days.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints and job sheets to correctly install structures, sizing, and accessories.
  • Perform on-site risk assessments and implement safety protocols, including manual handling, working at heights, and weather considerations.
  • Engage with clients and venue personnel to address concerns and set expectations effectively.
  • Inspect equipment and materials against packing lists before and after events; report any damaged or missing inventory.
  • Coordinate logistics with warehouse and transport teams to maintain schedule adherence.
  • Mentor and train junior team members on proper installation methods.
  • Submit reports on job completion status, incidents, and inventory discrepancies to operations management.

Candidate Profile

  • Required experience in marquee installation with thorough knowledge of structures, flooring, and walling.
  • Self-directed leadership capable of managing sites independently and making decisive operational choices.
  • Strong commitment to upholding safety standards on-site and ensuring team compliance.
  • Physically fit to handle demanding workloads and flexible to work extended or irregular hours, including weekends.
  • Willing to travel extensively throughout Western Australia, including possible overnight stays for regional events.
  • Possession of own transport is essential due to early starts and late finishes; public transport insufficient.
  • Valid driver's license mandatory; forklift or truck licenses considered advantageous.
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in dynamic situations, handling weather disruptions and last-minute requests.
  • Excellent communication aptitude, representing the company professionally across a variety of event types.
