Engineering Technician (Secret Clearance) - ASAB ESS

About the Role

KBR supports the U.S. Air Force under the AFCAP V Program by delivering vital Engineering Support Services to the 378th ECES at Prince Sultan Air Base. These services encompass Installation Engineering, Asset Management, and Real Property support, alongside providing essential food and quality-of-life services for base operations.

Job Overview

The Engineering Technician will aid in installation engineering, construction management, surveying, drafting, and the generation and maintenance of geospatial data at PSAB. This position contributes technical expertise throughout planning, project execution, GIS, and documentation to ensure that facility and infrastructure data remains precise, compliant with standards, and mission-ready.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct surveying, drafting, construction management, and project support tasks.
• Create and update technical drawings, maps, and geospatial datasets utilizing AutoCAD and GIS tools.
• Participate in construction inspections and quality assurance documentation.
• Maintain as-built drawings, facility records, and infrastructure documentation.
• Update GeoBase, CIP, MDS, and MDL data following SDSFIE and Air Force guidelines.
• Perform field surveys including topographical, boundary, and utility surveys.
• Assist with airfield obstruction data updates and prepare waiver documents.
• Coordinate site preparation activities, permits, and utility outage records.
• Ensure all engineering documents are complete, accurate, and meet government standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and possession of a valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Valid passport book (not card) with minimum 13 months validity and 6 blank visa/stamp pages.
• A minimum of three years combined experience in surveying, drafting, construction management, and project management.
• At least one recent year of experience using AutoCAD and GIS software.
• Two years’ experience working with public or government entities.
• Skilled in producing technical drawings, maps, and working with geospatial information.
• Capability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
• Willingness to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting Air Force Civil Engineering initiatives.
• Knowledge of GeoBase, ArcGIS Pro, and SDSFIE standards.
• Experience working in contingency or overseas environments.
