  • Conduct and witness tests for welders and welding procedures, including preparation and testing of test plates in accordance with standards.
  • Verify raw materials against documentation and proper markings.
  • Ensure welders are properly qualified and only authorized welders are utilized during production.
  • Confirm the suitability and correctness of welding consumables like electrodes, filler wires, gases, and fluxes.
  • Perform pre-weld inspections to check dimensions, fit-up, and weld preparations consistent with drawings and codes.
  • Supervise welding operations to ensure compliance with procedures such as pre-heating, interpass temperature control, and post-heating requirements.
  • Inspect completed welds visually and verify dimensional conformity against specifications and drawings.
  • Select welded joints for non-destructive testing and observe testing procedures.
  • Assess and review quality control reports generated by vendors or third parties.
  • Inspect surface conditions prior to coating and monitor coating thickness measurements.
  • Verify tagging, marking, and packing of finished items in preparation for shipment.
  • Issue and approve release notices for goods scheduled for dispatch.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports for both employer and client use.
  • Conduct mechanical integrity surveys at customer facilities such as refineries, chemical plants, and buildings to ensure compliance with customer standards and codes.
  • Maintain thorough and organized record filings.
  • Participate in safety and client meetings as needed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Open to fresh graduates from local polytechnic institutions.
  • Applicants with one to two years of relevant engineering or inspection experience will be favored.
  • Possession of certifications such as CSWIP 3.1, CSWIP 3.2, AWS SCWI, or API 570/510/653 would be advantageous.
