Role Overview

As an Engagement Manager, you will be responsible for managing client engagements from start to finish. This includes defining the scope of requests, directing analytics on the TrendCap platform, shaping deliverables presented by partners, and personally managing client interactions. Typical clients include partners from global consulting firms, senior executives of multinational corporations, and major institutional investors.

• Performed a value-creation assessment for a public industrial distributor worth billions, delivered within 48 hours.
• Identified growth opportunities for a top apparel retailer in North America.
• Estimated the size of a government end-market worth billions for an advanced manufacturer.
• Constructed a performance scorecard for a provincial hospital network.
• Delivered recurrent research projects for an international organization focused on sustainable finance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive company diagnostics and value-creation research analyzing margins, cost structures, growth levers, and benchmarking against peers, including private companies.
• Guide and define the approach of AI analytics pipelines, actively interpreting and refining results rather than passively reviewing outputs.
• Transform detailed analytical reports into concise executive summaries and compelling partner presentations.
• Ensure all outputs meet the highest standards expected of top-tier firms, lead presentations, and manage iterative deliverable refinements.

Candidate Profile

• Possess 2 to 5 years of experience in strategy consulting, transaction advisory, valuation, sell-side equity research, or another rigorous, client-facing analytical role. Backgrounds with McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Big 4 firms, or established research platforms are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Create analyses robust enough to satisfy CFO-level scrutiny and develop presentations ready for partner use without major edits.
• Have a strong familiarity with AI tools integrated into your workflows and possess a desire to deepen this expertise.
• Confidently manage client relationships beyond solely focusing on analytics; progress towards CFA certification is beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

• Annual base salary ranging from $110,000 to $140,000 CAD.

Additional Details

• This is a full-time, in-person role based in Toronto with a five-day workweek.
• It represents a newly created position with an existing opening.
