Role Summary

This dynamic role merges people-centered support with business development—combining employment coaching with employer engagement and administrative responsibilities to drive positive employment outcomes daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop strong, trusting relationships with job seekers facing barriers like disability, injury, or long-term unemployment to support job readiness.
  • Coach candidates to enhance skills, confidence, and competitiveness for the job market through resume assistance, interview preparation, job searching strategies, and access to training.
  • Actively advocate for candidates to employers, creating employment opportunities by pitching suitable matches and negotiating job trials, work experiences, and wage subsidies.
  • Conduct outreach to employers, including cold calling and visits, building and maintaining a robust employer network to deliver consistent placement results.
  • Identify hidden employment opportunities through proactive business development and leverage inclusive recruitment practices to influence hiring decisions.
  • Manage compliance, documentation, and data entry aligned with program requirements and consistently track performance against key performance indicators.
  • Celebrate participant milestones and placements to foster motivation and engagement.

Success Indicators

  • Consistently securing employment outcomes for participants.
  • Expanding a connected network of engaged employers.
  • Meeting and surpassing KPI targets related to placements and engagement activities.
  • Creating sustainable, long-term employment which positively impacts the lives of participants.

Candidate Profile

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build relationships and confidence in dealing with employers.
  • Experience in recruitment, sales, business development, or customer service roles is essential.
  • Driven by purpose to assist individuals in overcoming employment barriers.
  • Goal-oriented, resilient, and well-organized, adept at managing multiple priorities and meeting targets.

Requirements and Eligibility

  • Must be legally permitted to work in Australia.
  • Possession of a current driver's license and comprehensive vehicle insurance.
  • Secure a MyGovID at the standard level.
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and Working with Children Check.
  • Available to work full-time hours Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
