Role Overview
The Employee Relations Manager plays a crucial role in cultivating a positive workplace atmosphere by managing employee relations initiatives, resolving disputes, and ensuring adherence to labor laws and company policies. Acting as a reliable advisor to leadership and staff, this role fosters fairness, consistency, and engagement while strengthening compliance culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct confidential investigations addressing behavioral concerns, policy violations, grievances, and workplace conflicts promptly.
- Coordinate with labor offices and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with legal requirements and manage audits or inspections.
- Maintain compliance with labor laws, regulations, and internal HR policies.
- Advise managers alongside HR Business Partners (HRBPs) on handling investigation results and implement corrective and development actions.
- Review and revise employee relations policies and procedures as necessary.
- Collaborate with HRBPs on complex cases, delivering strategic solutions and embedding compliance and ethical principles within organizational culture.
- Work with global and regional Compliance, Ethics, and Legal teams to align practices with corporate and regulatory standards.
- Analyze employee relations data, identify trends, and provide recommendations promoting effective employee relations programs and process enhancements.
- Lead or support compliance training sessions focusing on policies, risk management, and emerging issues to ensure consistent understanding across teams.
Candidate Profile
- Master's Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Master’s in Social Work (Full-Time) with specialization in Human Resource Management.
- Over 8 years of experience in employee relations.
- In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with proven problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and drive results through collaboration and persuasion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Law degree is advantageous.
- Experience working in complex matrix organizations.
Supervisory Duties
