Job description
About the Role
The ELV Technician specializing in Basic Building Management Systems (BMS) is tasked with the installation, integration, upkeep, and troubleshooting of Extra Low Voltage systems, particularly focusing on BMS. The technician will ensure that automated facility controls, HVAC systems, and security networks function reliably and efficiently, minimizing downtime.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand and work with communication protocols including BACnet, IP, KNX, among others.
- Conduct cable testing, diagnose and replace faulty field devices, and integrate third-party interfaces for Fire Alarm Systems.
- Troubleshoot and replace relays, control circuits, pumps, and motor control circuits (MCC).
- Operate and troubleshoot Lighting Control Systems, Access Control Systems, and various ELV systems.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, replace field devices, and test cabling related to Building Management Systems.
Experience and Qualifications
- Possess a minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar role involving ELV and basic BMS systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Structured Cabling, and Networking.
- Technical certifications or equivalent qualifications are preferred.
