Electrical Engineer - Power & Energy

About the Role

Join WSP's Power & Energy team in Hamilton as an Electrical Engineer, contributing your expertise to multidisciplinary projects across New Zealand. Your role will involve delivering electrical design engineering and offering technical advice that meets client needs while supporting strong client relationships. This position offers continual development in power generation, renewable technologies, transmission, and distribution.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements

• Possess a formal qualification in Electrical Engineering.
• Hold preferably a minimum of three years of professional experience in relevant electrical engineering disciplines.
• Maintain a valid, clean motor vehicle driver's license.
• Demonstrate solid experience in electrical design covering a broad range of applications within the field.
• Have comprehensive knowledge of New Zealand electrical codes and standards.
• Be proficient in the use of electrical design modeling software tools.
• Exhibit strong communication skills, report writing ability, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Show client-oriented mindset and collaborate effectively with team members at various organizational levels as well as external stakeholders.
• Possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines consistently.
• Commit actively to ongoing personal growth, professional development, and adhere to WSP's Guiding Principles.
