This particular opportunity is for a Junior Electrical Engineer based remotely within Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on supporting electrical engineering and maintenance operations, including inspection, fault diagnosis, repairs, and documentation of electrical systems. It involves hands-on field assignments, collaboration with senior engineers, and adherence to strict safety standards in an industrial setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical components such as motors, switchgear, lighting, cable trays, and control panels.
• Support troubleshooting activities and help pinpoint the root causes of electrical faults and equipment malfunctions.
• Engage in preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure reliable operations.
• Observe all safety protocols including lockout/tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, and safe isolation procedures.
• Contribute to the preparation of risk assessments and job safety analyses related to electrical tasks.
• Ensure adherence to local and international electrical codes and standards like IEC and NEC.
• Maintain thorough records, including inspection reports and maintenance logs.
• Help update electrical drawings and documentation as necessary.
• Participate in incident reporting and analyze maintenance data to support continuous improvement.
• Engage in technical training sessions, toolbox talks, and on-the-job learning to enhance skills.
• Develop proficiency with single-line diagrams, wiring schematics, PLCs, variable frequency drives, and basic instrumentation.
• Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and planning teams to schedule and complete tasks effectively.
• Assist with identifying and specifying spare parts required for procurement.
• Provide regular updates to supervisors and participate in daily team briefings.

Qualifications and Required Experience

• Holder of a bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Preferred possession of entry-level electrical safety or maintenance certifications.
• Qualification eligibility for professional accreditation such as EIT, SCE, or equivalent.
• A minimum of two years' experience in electrical engineering or industrial maintenance, including internships or vocational training within manufacturing, mining, or utilities environments.
• Fundamental understanding of electrical theory, control circuits, motor operations, and protection mechanisms.
• Knowledgeable in using electrical measurement tools such as multimeters and insulation testers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with maintenance management systems is advantageous.
• Strong communication capabilities, teamwork orientation, and a willingness to learn continuously.
