Electrical Associate Manager

About the Role

This position is based in Washivali, Raigad, Maharashtra, within the Fabrication sector. It requires an experienced Electrical Associate Manager to lead and oversee various electrical engineering functions at the industrial plant. The ideal candidate will have 7 to 10 years of relevant experience and hold a BE or B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical erection, installation, commissioning, and maintenance operations for the industrial plant, ensuring projects meet timelines and comply with quality and safety requirements.
• Conduct commissioning tasks for equipment such as Beam Welding Machines, Plasma Cutting Machines, transformers, electrical panels, and automation systems.
• Develop and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance plans to ensure high equipment reliability and maximize plant uptime.
• Maintain and troubleshoot High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) electrical distribution networks, including 33kV/11kV substations, transformers, switchgear, ACBs, VCBs, MCCs, PCCs, and control panels.
• Identify and resolve issues in PLC-based automation systems (covering Siemens and Allen-Bradley brands) and Variable Frequency Drives (brands including ABB, Siemens, and Yaskawa).
• Supervise the installation, operation, and upkeep of EOT cranes, Diesel Generator sets, air compressors, CNC machines, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Liaise with project teams, contractors, OEMs, and vendors to facilitate smooth electrical installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Create maintenance schedules, manage manpower allocation, oversee spare parts inventory, and implement strategies to optimize costs and enhance operational efficiency.
• Ensure adherence to electrical safety protocols, statutory regulations, permit-to-work systems, and safe practices on site.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Job Cycle Checks (JCCs), maintenance logs, inspection reports, and safety records.
• Perform root cause analysis on equipment failures and establish corrective and preventive measures to reduce downtime.
• Oversee power distribution systems to maintain optimal power factor, manage contract demand, and execute energy-saving initiatives.
• Submit periodic reports (daily, weekly, monthly) detailing maintenance activities and energy consumption metrics for management review.
• Lead inspections and load testing of cranes in compliance with relevant Indian Standards (IS).
• Champion continuous improvement programs such as Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Kaizen, 5S, and reliability enhancement projects.
• Train and guide technicians and maintenance staff on equipment handling, troubleshooting methods, routine maintenance, and workplace safety measures.
• Provide 24/7 maintenance support to ensure continuous production operations and achievement of plant performance goals.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Engineering degree (BE/B.Tech) in Electrical Engineering.
• 7 to 10 years of practical experience in electrical maintenance and plant operations within an industrial fabrication setting.

The role demands extensive knowledge in Industrial Automation, Power Distribution, Electrical Safety, and Compliance with statutory standards including EHS, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).
