Educational Technology Specialist

Role Overview

The Educational Technology Specialist at Al-Andalus Foundation is responsible for advancing the use of digital educational platforms and technologies within the Foundation and its branches. This role supports educators and staff in leveraging digital tools effectively and plays a significant part in enhancing the digital education environment.

Key Duties

• Supervise and manage digital learning platforms and learning management systems (LMS).
• Provide assistance and support to teachers and staff using educational technologies.
• Conduct training sessions and create instructional manuals and guides.
• Assess new educational tools and software, offering informed recommendations.
• Assist in the development of digital learning content and interactive activities.
• Ensure seamless integration between educational systems and other organizational systems.
• Analyze usage data from learning platforms, producing informative reports and dashboards.
• Participate in digital transformation initiatives, including the integration of artificial intelligence in education.
• Liaise with service providers and vendors, overseeing project execution and updates.
• Monitor and evaluate the quality and effectiveness of educational technology implementation across multiple branches.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Digital Education, IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Between 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in educational technology, e-learning, or digital learning platform management.
• Practical knowledge in managing or operating LMS systems.
• Experience in training and empowering educators and users in using educational technology tools.
• Strong familiarity with digital educational tools, blended learning approaches, and virtual classrooms.
• Ability to analyze data and prepare comprehensive reports.
• Proficiency in both Arabic and English languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with platforms such as Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or Microsoft Teams for Education.
• Background in Instructional Design or creating digital educational content.
• Familiarity with Learning Analytics and applications of artificial intelligence in education.
• Experience working in multi-campus educational organizations.
• Professional certifications in educational technology or e-learning.
