Role Responsibilities
The Education Specialist supports faculty, students, and Education Program Leadership by taking initiative and demonstrating strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Collaborating with faculty, this role develops educational materials, courses, and programs for the Department and Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science. Additionally, the position supports the MCGSBS curriculum.
This role combines remote and on-site work; candidates must reside within 100 miles of Mayo Clinic campuses in Jacksonville, Phoenix, or Rochester.

- The F-1 STEM OPT extension program is not participated in by Mayo Clinic.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required, plus at least five years’ experience in education, business, or a health-related field.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
- Experience supporting development of educational and training programs.
- Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proven capacity to collaborate as part of a team aiding students, faculty, or new employees.
- Instructional design background is essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including professional correspondence and documentation.
- Mastery of policies and procedures related to education and training programs.
- Experience with databases and system knowledge; proficiency with technology and educational software (e.g., Banner, Brightspace, Microsoft Office 365) preferred.
- Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment with ongoing learning requirements.
Working Conditions & Compensation
- Exempt full-time position.
- Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., no weekend duties.
- Annual salary range: $61,755 to $92,664.
