Role Overview

We seek a talented editor passionate about social-first storytelling to join our team. This position is not a conventional post-production role but demands outstanding editorial judgment, understanding what captivates audiences to stop scrolling, watch, engage, and share.

You will collaborate on projects involving lifestyle, luxury, hospitality, technology, and consumer brands, crafting content tailored to each social platform while enhancing the visual quality for every client.

Working closely with the Creative Lead, strategists, and production teams, you'll transform ideas into compelling content designed for strong performance.

An attentive approach to pacing, storytelling, rhythm, sound design, typography, motion, and detail is essential.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality social-first edits for premium lifestyle and legacy clients.
• Produce content that feels native to social media while retaining top-tier production standards.
• Make bold and creative editorial choices that challenge initial briefs.
• Develop engaging narratives, pacing, and hooks that boost viewer retention and interaction.
• Generate platform-specific edits and multiple iterations as required.
• Enhance edits with motion graphics, typography, sound design, and subtle animations.
• Collaborate with strategists and producers to maintain alignment with broader creative strategies.
• Handle client feedback tactfully while preserving creative vision.
• Optimize editing workflows, develop templates, and improve team efficiencies continuously.
• Ensure every output meets the agency’s high creative standards.
• Support pitch processes with mood films, speculative edits, and creative references.
• Influence editing approaches during concept development phases.
• Contribute ideas to improve storytelling before projects enter post-production.
• Edit content for the agency’s own social media channels.
• Experiment with novel editing methods, transitions, formats, and emerging platform trends.
• Create LUTs, presets, templates, and systems to promote consistency across editing teams.
• Stay updated with evolving editing styles, content creators, and platform behaviors.

Measures of Success

Success will be determined by the originality, quality, and engagement performance of your produced work, not merely timely delivery.

Your outputs should consistently elevate client content to feel more premium, engaging, and culturally relevant over time. You will have an intuitive sense of what elements to keep, cut, or enhance to maintain audience attention.

Continuous improvement and high creative standards are expected, with persistent queries such as:

• Can this hook be more compelling?
• Is the pacing optimal?
• Does the content match the platform’s style?
• Can the story be improved?
• Is this content worthy of viewers' focus?

Exceptional taste, strong creative instincts, and an obsessive drive to improve every edit are essential qualities.
