Job Overview

We are searching for a skilled and driven Drainage Engineer to become part of our energetic workforce. Ideal candidates will have experience in various drainage rehabilitation techniques such as lining, patch repairs, robotic cutting, and UV lining.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute multiple rehabilitation methods including cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) lining, cold and ultraviolet (UV) lining, ensuring compliance with quality standards and specifications.
• Prepare work sites by installing safety barriers, setting up necessary equipment and materials, and conducting preliminary inspections to identify potential concerns.
• Operate trenchless technology tools including CCTV inspection equipment, winches, curing units, and resin mixers, adhering strictly to safety and operational protocols.
• Manage the handling and installation of lining materials correctly and efficiently; mix resins and related substances as per manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform site surveys and inspections before and after rehabilitation projects to monitor pipeline conditions and verify correct installation; accurately document and report any defects.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain McAllister’s high health and safety standards, demonstrating pride in workmanship, safety practices, and environmental consciousness.
• Embrace the company’s safety ethos 'Stop in the event of change' by challenging unsafe work methods or behaviors and reporting safety concerns to appropriate managers.

Essential Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience in similar drainage engineering roles.
• Proficiency in patch lining, ambient cured lining, and hot cure lining techniques.
• Possession of a valid CSCS card.
• Certification or experience in medium risk confined spaces.
• Qualification in NRSW signing, lighting, and guarding for operatives (O1).
• Valid driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience encompassing all essential criteria along with expertise in:
• UV lining and UV pressure lining.
• Hot cure pressure lining.
• UV curing and cutting equipment operation.
• Primus Line lining, slip lining, and GRP lining.
• Advanced certifications such as Level 2 High Risk Confined Space (6160-03 - 603/7274/6) and Level 2 Entrant & Entry Controller for medium risk confined spaces (610/0731/6).
