Role overview
The Document Processing Specialist is responsible for preparing documents and carrying out a self-review to make sure the final output is accurate, polished, and aligned with firm standards. The role is mainly centered around working in ServiceNow.
What you'll do
- Create and refresh financial statements, correspondence, proposals, memos, manuals, and other business documents using the information provided.
- Check, proofread, and refine documents to confirm they are complete and correct.
- Make sure every document follows BDO’s templates, formatting rules, and style guidelines.
- Build, organize, and maintain digital files and document status updates using the tools and systems provided.
- Work with different teams to collect the inputs needed for document creation or updates.
- Revise documents to keep them accurate, consistent, and aligned with BDO or client formatting requirements based on written and verbal directions.
- Meet internal timelines and support timely service delivery by ensuring data is gathered and processed without delays.
- Work proactively with internal clients and team members to gather all required documents, information, and data to finish assigned work on time.
- Support training for teammates on relevant software, processes, and resources.
- Help build and maintain shared team workspaces containing training material, process documents, key contacts, links, and standard responses.
- Use the My Support Center dashboard and features effectively.
- Take part in improvement efforts that raise service quality, efficiency, and overall process effectiveness.
- Follow all firm rules, standards, and client-specific procedures.
- Be available for flex shift work from 9:00 PM IST to 6:00 AM IST during peak periods for up to 4 months in a year, depending on business needs.
- Handle any other related tasks or responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Any graduate is eligible to apply.
- B.Com, B.A., or MBA education is preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience is preferred.
- Experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro is preferred.
- Prior experience with ServiceNow or a scheduling software tool is preferred.
- Strong command of English is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including editing and modern grammar and writing style usage.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks independently, in a group setting, and alongside other professionals.
- Good planning and strong organizational abilities.
- High attention to accuracy and comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Ability to protect confidential information while working with people at all levels of the organization.
- Capacity to adjust communication style for different audiences in a professional manner.
- Ability to meet deadlines while staying detail-oriented.
- Comfort working effectively in a team-based environment.
