About the Role
We are seeking experienced Diving Superintendents for offshore projects under the Al Sahraa Group based in Abu Dhabi. This role involves managing all facets of diving operations offshore and ensuring alignment with ADNOC Offshore standards and expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the efficient use of vessels, diving apparatus, and personnel to meet project timelines and ADNOC Offshore requirements.
- Serve as the main ADNOC L&S offshore liaison to the ADNOC Offshore Integrity Team, ensuring contractor accountability, especially in addressing any equipment or manpower-related downtime.
- Continuously oversee offshore activities to avert stoppages or delays, promptly addressing issues to sustain progress.
- Ensure all operational records—dive logs, safety reports, daily summaries—are properly documented, signed, and submitted per ADNOC regulations.
- Coordinate effectively between ADNOC Offshore, ADNOC L&S, and contractors like Maridive to align operational efforts.
- Monitor adherence to safety protocols and equipment integrity according to ADNOC’s HSE standards.
- Provide frequent operational status reports to ADNOC L&S management, emphasizing vessel and crew performance and any risks.
- Assist in scheduling and managing diving crew rotations in line with contract stipulations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving measures without sacrificing safety or quality during offshore activities.
- Lead initial responses and reporting processes following any offshore incidents involving diving work.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- IMCA-recognized Air Diving Supervisor Certificate.
- Current IMCA Continual Professional Development (CPD) certification.
- Dynamic Positioning Basic Training certificate.
- Two decades of consistent offshore diving experience.
- At least 10 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Five or more years serving as Diving Superintendent or Offshore Construction Manager.
- Completion of at least 10 projects as a Supervisor on Dynamic Positioning vessels.
- Comprehensive Diving Supervisors logbook covering the last five years, regularly updated.
- Record of Competence per IMCA C 003/D013 standards.
- Safety Training certificate (e.g., OSHA, NEBOSH, NSC, or other SAPO-approved), compliant with Aramco CSM-CSAR guidelines.
- Valid Offshore Medical certificate.
- Current BOSIET/OPITO Sea Survival and HUET certification.
- Up-to-date OPITO H2S training certificate.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
