Role Overview
As a Dispatch Agent at Swissport based at Dublin Airport, you will play a crucial role in managing cargo movements and ensuring that shipments are dispatched accurately and on schedule to their destinations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare essential documentation for flight crews such as flight plans, load sheets, and fuel data.
- Accurately communicate aircraft fuel and load information to flight crews and load control, maintaining safety and operational compliance.
- Coordinate with ground crew, flight operations, and airport officials to ensure proper aircraft loading according to specifications and operational guidelines.
- Effectively prioritize tasks and oversee aircraft turnaround from arrival through departure, ensuring operational efficiency and schedule adherence.
- Operate aerobridges and aircraft stand guidance systems safely to facilitate passenger boarding and disembarkation.
- Drive various airside vehicles including cars, vans, and minibuses, strictly following airport regulations and safety protocols.
- Perform aircraft weight and balance calculations as required, ensuring all safety and operational standards are met.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Previous experience in aircraft ground operations, ramp handling, or related roles is beneficial.
- Understanding of aircraft loading processes, weight and balance computations, and aviation safety standards.
- Strong communication abilities to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as operational needs dictate.
- Possession of a valid full European manual driving license and capability to operate airside vehicles following airport safety rules.
