About the Role

We are seeking a diligent Dishwasher to manage and maintain cleanliness within our kitchen and storage areas. This role involves operating dishwashing machinery, utilizing hand wash stations, pot scrubbing areas, and trash compactors to ensure all kitchen utensils and equipment are clean and sanitary. The position supports the overall food preparation process by maintaining optimal stock by receiving and properly storing perishables and rotating inventory.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines and hand wash stations efficiently to clean kitchenware.
• Wash and disinfect tables, kitchen tools, knives, and storage rooms.
• Manage the inspection and stacking of cleaned items and resubmit soiled items for re-cleaning as necessary.
• Rack and spray items with hot water to loosen food residues before washing.
• Sort, soak, and wash silverware, including re-washing when needed.
• Dump and organize bus tubs, maintain trash cans, and manage dumpster area cleanliness.
• Clean and mop floors and workstations within assigned departments.
• Dispose of glassware safely and recycle cardboard and other materials.
• Adhere to company safety and security protocols, reporting maintenance issues, injuries, or unsafe working conditions.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with team members and contribute positively to team goals.
• Physically handle tasks requiring lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 50 pounds.
• Perform additional reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• No formal education such as high school diploma or GED is required.
• No prior related work experience or supervisory experience is necessary.
• No specific licenses or certifications are required.
• Preferred candidates have flexible availability and previous related experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
