Overview
Join Qiddiya Investment Company as the Director of Risk Management, playing a pivotal role within the development management team focused on the hospitality sector's dynamic projects. This senior position involves establishing and sustaining comprehensive risk registers and reports that underpin effective decision-making and strategic goals throughout the project lifecycles.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a robust Qiddiya Program risk management framework, including procedures, templates, and processes.
- Lead the identification and evaluation of diverse risks impacting real estate development and construction, encompassing financial, operational, technical, and legal dimensions.
- Carry out ongoing risk assessments and scenario analyses to anticipate and mitigate potential project exposures.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date risk registers and databases.
- Create and execute strategies to reduce or eliminate high-impact risks, ensuring corrective measures are applied effectively.
- Embed risk management practices within project execution by collaborating closely with project teams.
- Lead periodic risk reporting, including development and monitoring of key risk indicators (KRIs) to assess project risk profiles.
- Track and communicate risk status throughout all project phases, escalating emerging risks promptly.
- Provide insights into changing risk landscapes and emerging threats to project success.
- Guide and mentor the risk team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Oversee implementation of risk management plans across Programs and Portfolios, producing relevant Risk Registers and Dashboards.
- Ensure comprehensive risk data capture and assessments across all Program and Project aspects.
- Direct risk treatment identification and ensure monitoring and review processes are effective.
- Deliver necessary training and support to program and project teams regarding risk management.
- Identify risk profile changes influencing treatment effectiveness due to personnel, work, or environment shifts.
- Monitor compliance with industry best practice standards including auditing risk management procedures and assessing Risk Maturity within Executive Portfolios.
- Review and authorize Quantitative Risk Modeling reports such as QSRA and QCRA.
- Collaborate with project teams to integrate risk mitigation actions into project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Construction Management, Business Studies, Finance, or related discipline.
- Preferred professional certifications: Chartered Risk Analyst (CRA), Certified Risk Management Professional (CEMP), or Project Management Professional (PMP).
- 10 to 15 years of risk management experience focusing on real estate development, construction, or large infrastructure, with a minimum of 5 years managing risk on mega project developments.
- Demonstrated success implementing risk management strategies at senior levels.

- Familiarity with Active Risk Management (ARM) software is a plus.
