Role Overview

As Director of Operations, reporting to senior leadership, you will oversee the operational performance of a regional portfolio, ensuring projects are executed safely, profitably, and meet top quality standards. You will collaborate closely with Project Directors and leadership to enhance delivery performance, strengthen governance, promote commercial success, and support sustained business expansion across Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage operational activities across a portfolio of significant engineering and infrastructure projects.
• Enhance project governance, delivery standards, and operational efficiency.
• Assist Project Directors during project mobilization, execution, and closure phases.
• Drive commercial outcomes, profitability, and forecasting for the portfolio.
• Optimize resource allocation and utilization across multiple projects.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and senior stakeholders.
• Resolve commercial and project delivery issues effectively.
• Support strategic business planning and initiatives for operational improvements.
• Lead major bidding processes and proposal development from qualification to submission and client presentations.
• Collaborate with technical and commercial teams to devise winning strategies for new business opportunities.
• Mentor and guide multidisciplinary teams throughout the region.
• Contribute actively to the company’s growth trajectory within Saudi Arabia.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in engineering consultancy or professional services.
• Extensive background managing multidisciplinary engineering project portfolios.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management skills.
• Proven experience in major bid and proposal management.
• Demonstrated success in enhancing operational performance and governance in projects.
• Effective leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experience working within Saudi Arabia or the broader GCC region is highly preferred.
• Professional accreditations such as Chartered Engineer or PMP are advantageous.
