The Director, Business Intelligence will own enterprise analytics strategy and lead a high-performing analytics team that turns data into practical insight across sales forecasting, retail performance, campaign measurement, and influencer, paid, and social strategy optimization.

This role acts as a key strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Brand, eCommerce, Finance, and executive leaders, using data to uncover growth opportunities, improve ROI, and make analytics part of core business decisions. It combines strategic leadership, technical expertise, cross-functional partnership, and team development.

Responsibilities

• Partner with client account, strategy, and service teams to turn client goals into scalable measurement systems that improve social-first marketing performance.
• Advise executive leadership on marketing, retail, and social investment choices through data-backed recommendations.
• Move analytics beyond reporting by turning complex data into clear business narratives that shape brand direction, channel strategy, and enterprise decisions.
• Own measurement strategy across paid media, influencer, social, and retail media, with a clear line between spend and revenue outcomes.
• Build predictive models to estimate incremental revenue and retail lift across eCommerce and offline retail partners, linking media, influencer activity, and social engagement to sales velocity and conversion.
• Develop ROI measurement approaches such as brand lift studies, sales lift studies, incrementality testing, multi-touch attribution, and marketing mix modeling, then use the findings to refine channel mix and budget allocation.
• Create scalable ways to measure influencer impact, content performance, audience growth, and conversion outcomes to guide creative and platform decisions.
• Track emerging consumer and digital engagement trends to inform brand strategy, innovation, and go-to-market planning.
• Lead, coach, and grow a strong analytics team while building a culture of rigor, commercial thinking, and executive-ready storytelling.
• Set up and manage scalable data collection and reporting systems, including structured databases, automated reporting, dashboards, and standardized presentations.

Requirements

• Extensive background in marketing, media, or agency settings, with a clear record of using analytics and research to influence strategy and outcomes.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Social Sciences, Statistics, Data Science, Business Analytics, or similar, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• At least 12 years of progressive experience in research, analytics, and measurement, including leadership on complex, high-impact work.
• Strong knowledge of primary and secondary research methods, including brand tracking, brand and communications strategy, brand lift studies, regression analysis, market mix modeling, social listening, and digital/site analytics.
• Advanced technical ability with Python and SQL for analysis and data modeling, Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Snowflake, and BI tools such as Sigma or equivalent reporting platforms.
• Proven skill in designing and improving analytics workflows, data pipelines, and reporting systems that support automation, scale, and self-service insights.
• Excellent executive communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain complex findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong influence skills with cross-functional teams and senior client stakeholders, grounded in data, research rigor, and business context.

Compensation

The annual base salary for this position is CAD 140,000 to CAD 160,000.

The final offer will be determined during the interview process based on role scope, relevant experience, skill alignment, and expected impact using consistent evaluation criteria.

Pay growth is tied to performance, broader scope, and sustained contribution rather than tenure alone, and compensation is reviewed regularly through formal performance reviews and check-ins.
